Application Support Analyst

The Position:

EcoSys seeks an experienced application support analyst for a full-time office based position in their Rye Brook, New York office. This role offers personal development and career progression opportunities and an attractive salary/benefits package. The Application Support Analyst's primary responsibilities are to provide first and second level support to clients and internal staff at EcoSys. This person will be a critical member of the support function handling incoming queries and issues relating to EcoSys products. They are responsible for handling customer service issues that are complex and varied in nature and often require in-depth diagnosis and resolution. Responsible for effective handling of customer questions relating to product usage. Excellent customer facing skills and a passion for customer satisfaction are highly desirable qualities for this role.

Desired Skills & Competencies
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a customer support environment responding to a large volume of customer inquiries.
• Excellent customer facing skills both on the phone and written, with the ability to patiently and politely deal with varying customer skill levels.
• Demonstrated ability dealing with, and resolving complex support issues with customers real-time.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• A passion for the highest level of customer satisfaction.
• Ability to effectively communicate cross-organization at EcoSys and work well in a fast paced environment.
• Experience utilizing incident tracking systems for tracking all customer issues from creation through resolution.

Position Responsibilities

• Timely response to incoming application support tickets (email and phone) from EcoSys customers relating to product usage.
• Maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction and adherence to corporate service level agreements.
• Reproduce and qualify support issues from customers and work with appropriate internal personnel for problem identification and resolution.
• Log all customer contact accurately in the internal customer ticketing system maintaining complete and accurate information. Document all customer contact and notes maintaining an accurate history for each customer inquiry.
• Develop and maintain strong functional expertise in EcoSys products.

DBA and Utility Programmer

The Position:

EcoSys seeks a qualified Database Administrator and Utility Programmer to provide DBA functions as well as database programming and problem solving expertise to internal and client-facing software projects. This is a full-time position. Candidates will have solid Oracle and some SQLServer DBA experience as well as experience writing Oracle PL/SQL and preferably also SQLServer Transact-SQL database programs. Additional experience programming in Java is a plus.

Candidates will demonstrate good judgment, be able to handle multiple projects concurrently and have strong English language, overall communication and troubleshooting skills. Candidates will be required to support EcoSys clients via the phone and onsite in a consulting capacity.

REQUIRED Skills:
• Minimum of two years of Oracle DBA experience and at least some SQLServer DBA experience.
• Must be expert in SQL and highly skilled in Oracle PL/SQL.
• Must be strong in the following: English language, overall communication skills, written and inter-personal skills. Also must be willing to occasionally travel.

DESIRED Skills (candidates with these will be given preference):
• Two or more years experience as a SQLServer DBA and solid experience in SQLServer Transact-SQL.
• Experience with application servers: WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss, and experience with Windows and Unix operating systems.
• Experience in the following: Java programming, Primavera API programming, programming with other application APIs, Primavera Enterprise toolset, project management and/or financial management background.

Senior Web Application Software Engineer

The Position:

We’re looking for a seasoned front-end developer with the experience, talent and tenacity to churn out awe-inspiring Web 2.0 features that are robust, grounded in the real-world needs of the user and fully deliver. As a member of our development team, this role will primarily develop browser-side JavaScript/Ajax and DHTML, with some JSP coding.

The ideal candidate will be a Javascript/AJAX aficionado who follows emerging Web front-end technologies, but who is also experienced and mature enough to know when/how to adopt them into a commercial product that will be employed by sophisticated users. You will also have a strong foundation in the science and discipline of structured programming… if you are unsure what a linked list is or might struggle to write a recursive routine, this is not the position for you.

REQUIRED Skills:

• Experienced in full development life-cycle, using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Extensive experience with DHTML, CSS, JavaScript/Ajax and DOM.

• Domain knowledge in project financial accounting (spending forecasts, project and fiscal budgeting, and cost capitalization).
