Hexagon Presents the 2nd Annual Elite Awards “Best in Project Performance” at HxGN LIVE 2022
Last month, at Hexagon’s international digital reality solutions conference, HxGN LIVE Global, the winners of the Hexagon Elite Awards were announced. The Hexagon Elite Awards are a family of customer awards created to recognize those who have shown creative and business-driving applications of Hexagon solutions across the Asset Lifecycle. The awards are separated into six unique categories:
- Best in Design
- Best in Automation
- Best in Analysis
- Best in Operations
- Best in procurement, Fabrication & Construction Management
- And Best in Project Performance
Users of Hexagon’s EcoSys™ Enterprise Project Performance (EPP) software were encouraged to apply for the “Best in Project Performance” category. To enter, customers submitted written pieces that relayed how they utilized EcoSys to innovate their processes and practices across the full project lifecycle to maximize organization-wide productivity and subsequent financial returns.
The Premier of Hexagon’s Elite Award’s “Best in Project Performance” Category
The “Best in Project Performance” category premiered in 2021 with the first winner being Harvard University. Before selecting EcoSys, Harvard felt the need to move away from managing their capital planning manually with spreadsheets and instead turn toward an enterprise-wide, automated solution. Harvard found that EcoSys met their need to consolidate project information and keep stakeholders informed. After implementing the solution, Harvard slowly expanded their use of the platform. They were awarded the 2021 prize for leveraging Ecosys’ flexibility to reduce risk and ensure 100% compliance of insurance requirements across a $1.9B portfolio of capital projects. And the rest is history!
This Year’s Winner: Technip Energies
This year’s “Best in Project Performance” Elite Award was given to Technip Energies, a world-leading engineering and technology player with expertise in a full range of design and project development services. Throughout 10+ years of use, Technip leveraged EcoSys to meet the challenges of growing project complexity. Within their submission, Technip relayed how they achieved and continue to improve the digital transformation of project controls and related practices by integrating EcoSys’ estimating, cost control, and planning functions. This has resulted in more sound project portfolio management, more efficient work processes, higher predictability, strengthened performance measurement, and improved project performance. Today, EcoSys is used on most of Technip’s projects for project control – ensuring consistent project success.
The Spoils of Victory
Of course, an award cannot come without its perks! Along with bragging rights, winners of the Hexagon Elite Award’s receive a monetary reward or charitable donation made in their name, complimentary HxGN LIVE Global attendance for the following year, and a beautifully engraved trophy. This year, Technip decided to donate their monetary winnings to the Pasteur Institute.
